A Parents Association Effort in Support of Earthquake Victims

POPA leadership is facilitating a collection of items to be sent via Houston’s Turkish Consulate to victims of the catastrophic earthquake. Initiated by several Post Oak parents, collection boxes will be located at the Bissonnet Campus in Orly Kluk's and Beth Olitzki's classrooms and at the Museum District Campus in the High School lobby. The collection will run from Feb. 10 through Feb. 24. 

The following new items are needed:

ADULT + CHILDREN’S CLOTHING

  • Jackets/coats
  • Raincoats
  • Boots
  • Sweatshirts/sweatpants
  • Pants
  • Gloves/mittens
  • Scarfs
  • Shawls
  • Hats
  • Socks
  • Underwear

FOOD ITEMS (DURABLE GOODS/CANNED ITEMS)

  • Baby food
  • Diapers
  • Cleaning supplies
  • Hygiene supplies
  • Sanitary pads

ITEMS NEEDED THAT SHOULD BE TAKEN DIRECTLY TO THE CONSULATE

  • Tent
  • Bed
  • Inflatable mattress
  • Blankets
  • Sleeping bags
  • Thermos
  • Flashlight
  • Powerbank
  • Generator
