Snakes, science experiments, and so much fun! This summer at Post Oak has been unlike any other. Elementary has invaded the Museum District Campus, and we are having a blast!

The shaded pavilion has hosted many games of ship dock shore, sharks and minnows, dodgeball, and tag, but I think the best event we had under the pavilion was our talent show.

Our talents ranged from hula hoop dancing to playing the drums. Who knew we had so many talented students?

Even with all the fun we’re having, we’ve also made time to give back to the Houston community by volunteering at the Houston Food Bank and raising $168 with our lemonade stand for Houston CAP, Citizens for Animal Protection.

We’ve been resilient through the sweltering summer heat, and every Friday, the kids are rewarded with popsicles. If you ask me, it’s been the best summer ever! But don’t just take my word for it; let’s ask the kids what they think!

“My favorite part of summer was holding a snake.” —Zoë A. ’33

“I think summer should never end!” —Gabriela L. ’31

“I umm…love building the lego house.” —Iyas E. ’34

“My favorite part of summer was hanging out with my friends.” —Senna E. ’32

“I like summer camp for doing slime and dodgeball, and for the slime, even though I didn’t get to take some home. Except for the magnetic one.” —Lily E. ’32

“My favorite thing was being a superhero.” —Abhav P. ’33
