The essence of compassion at The Post Oak School is to exhibit traits of kindness, grace, and courtesy to others and to promote peace and inclusion amongst each other.

As educators, we instill a love of learning in our students, faculty, and staff, and encourage continual exploration of these skills in order to bridge the gap between what we know and what we want to know.

Flexibility and adaptability include responding and adjusting to situational needs, as well as changing to meet the challenges we face on a daily basis when working with our students, parents, and colleagues.

Our Montessori principles teach us to value others and welcome people from different backgrounds. We show respect for and adherence to school policies, and we facilitate open dialogue to overcome differences in order to support and achieve common goals.

The work we do is meaningful, and therefore, it can challenge and push us to our limits. We are driven to take initiative and deliver on our mission even with little supervision or direction.

We are caring and kind to others, but we go further by expressing genuine thankfulness for the good things in our lives, recognizing that this goodness come from sources beyond ourselves.
