A Post Oak education is as unique as your child, and we want to be certain we are the right fit for your family.

Before beginning an application, we encourage you to participate in our admission events. Below are the steps to apply for admission to The Post Oak School.

Step 1: Submit the online application

Please click here or the button below to complete the online application. There is a $100 non-refundable application fee. Applications for admission to the 2021–2022 school year should be completed between September 8, 2020, and January 8, 2021. If you are interested in the 2020–2021 school year, please contact the Admissions Office about available openings.

Step 3: Schedule an interview

Parents/Guardians

After receiving your application and admission documents, the Admission Office will reach out to schedule a parent interview. Parents and guardians applying for our Young Children’s Community through Elementary programs at the Bissonnet Campus will receive an invitation to meet with our Admissions Team. ​The purpose of this interview is to allow the Admissions Team to get to know your family and understanding of the Montessori philosophy. This step is not required for our Middle School and High School programs.

Students

All applicants 4-years-old through High School will be invited to participate in a virtual visit with faculty members of the applicable academic level. Any children under 4 are not required to ​participate in a virtual visit. During the virtual visit, the faculty member will ask questions to get to know the student, who also may be asked to complete some simple tasks.

Step 4: Admission decision

Decisions for admission to The Post Oak School are based upon the parent interview, virtual student visit, teacher recommendation form(s), and student’s academic records, if applicable. Admission decisions for the 2021–2022 school year will be sent by email on March 10, 2021. Families offered admission are expected to reply by the Common Reply Date on April 7, 2021. 

Note on Immunization

Any student enrolled for the first time in The Post Oak School after March 24, 2020, must fulfill the vaccine requirements under Texas law or submit a documented medical waiver of those vaccine requirements. Non-medical waivers of the vaccine requirements will not be accepted for enrollment to The Post Oak School.
