A Post Oak education is as unique as your child, and we want to be certain we are the right fit for your family.
Before beginning an application, we encourage you to participate in our admission events. Below are the steps to apply for admission to The Post Oak School.
Step 1: Submit the online application form and $100 fee
The priority application deadline has passed but we are still accepting applications to be considered after the first round of admission decisions are made in early March. There is a $100 non-refundable application fee.

Parents
All families applying for admission to the Young Children’s Community and Primary programs whose child is under 3 years of age will be participate in an interview with the admissions director. During this interview, the admissions director will ask questions to get to know your child and your family. Parent interviews may be held online or in-person, and we ask that all parents are present.
Students
Following application review, qualified candidates will be invited to an in-person classroom visit. We require the submission of all supplemental documents prior to this meeting, including teacher recommendations, student report cards, most recent standardized testing scores, and school records.
All Primary applicants who are at least three years old will be invited to participate in a thirty to forty-five minute student visit. Any Primary applicants under the age of three are not required to participate.
All applicants Elementary through High School will be invited to shadow a current student for a portion of the school day. During the visit, the student will be asked to participate in class activities and complete academic work.
High School applicants will also participate in a brief interview with the admissions committee. During this interview, members of the admissions committee will ask questions to get to know the student and learn more about their interests.
Step 4: Admission decision
Decisions for admission to The Post Oak School are based upon the parent interview, student visit, teacher recommendation form(s), and student’s academic records, if applicable. The first round of admission decisions for the 2025–2026 school year will be sent by email on March 7, 2025. Families offered admission are expected to sign and submit the contract by the Common Reply Date on March 26, 2025.
After the first round of admissions, offers for the 2025–2026 school year will be made based on availability.
Note on Immunization
Any student enrolled for the first time in The Post Oak School after March 24, 2020, must fulfill the vaccine requirements under Texas law or submit a documented medical waiver of those vaccine requirements. All medical waivers must state medical diagnosis and will be reviewed and considered by the school nurse. Non-medical waivers of the vaccine requirements will not be accepted for enrollment to The Post Oak School.
