Doing Well by Doing Good

Acts of service with, and for, our community has a big payoff—and the benefits are sometimes wonderfully selfish. For children who participate in volunteer activities, 34 percent are more likely to be in excellent or very good health; 35 percent are less likely to have behavior issues; and 66 percent are more likely to consider themselves “flourishing.” Post Oak has a rich history of community service, from gardening to caring for pets to knitting and beyond. Read more on the Post Oak blog, including ways to get involved even as an alum!
