Inspired by the garden that fills our classroom with light, the children and nature worked together to create this series of sun prints. Hand-picked pieces of nature were arranged upon fabric painted by the children and then placed in the sun to be Touched by the Light. Outlines were then embellished with the children’s sweet and simple embroidery.
In sun-prints, the spaces covered by the organic matter remain pale, as the areas of the fabric that are touched by the sun become vibrant. The sunlight is to our print as our children are to our lives.
