Gratitude Day
A New Post Oak Tradition
This year we say thanks to all who have given volunteer hours, helping hands, or a gift to the Post Oak Fund by inaugurating Gratitude Day on Friday, November 20, 2020.
A day of thanks, Gratitude Day is also a moment to usher in the holiday season. Many of us will create new traditions this year and connect with our family and friends from a distance. Gratitude Day is an opportunity to acknowledge the important role our loved ones play in our lives, something often expressed around a Thanksgiving table.
Sending Gratitude
All in-person students have been given a set of two Gratitude Day postcards, and all distance learners were mailed a postcard packet. The cards are blank on the back for a drawing or message.
We encourage students to personalize these and send to grandparents, distant relatives, friends or anyone else to whom they would like to express gratitude.
Once a recipient's address and message or drawing is added, these pre-stamped cards are ready to drop in the mail.
If you want, please snap a photo of your student dropping their postcards in the mail to share on your own social media and/or to send to us at development@postoakschool.org. We’d love to post your snapshots of gratitude in action!
