Tell us about yourself.

I am Houston born and raised! Whenever I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family playing cards, board games, and video games.

Why did you choose to work at Post Oak? (And how long have you worked here?)

I have been with Post Oak for a little under a year. I have several years’ experience in higher public education. Choosing to come here was easy once I discovered I really didn't want to leave the education sector after all!

What would you say to someone considering Post Oak? What should they know about us?

Please don't pass up this wonderful opportunity! Here, students learn with a sense of responsibility and action on their part.

What does Post Oak’s saying “Challenge the Norm” mean to you?

Challenge the Norm means not just thinking and doing things outside of the box, but making a good opportunity greater!

How did you get started in your profession? How did you know you wanted to do this? What are you most proud of?

While in higher ed, a coworker encouraged me to work on my degree. I am proud to say I am the first college graduate in my family! I didn't know I would be doing this, but I am so happy that I am!

Who or what inspires you? What has influenced you most in your work?

A strong sense of community is inspiring to me. When a group of people comes together because of something they share an interest in, believe in, or want to create positive change, I am inspired and want to be part of something great as well.

What do you do for fun? What are your hobbies? What do you like about Houston?

I enjoy traveling, journaling, gardening, and reading. Houston is so diverse, lots of sights to see and things to do!

Anything else we should know?

We're HUGE Disney fans!! We even had a family trip planned for 2020; maybe next year!
