We had such a wonderful turnout at our Parent Ed event yesterday evening! Dr. Harrison discussed how the Montessori approach inherently supports this skill development, and discussed what Post Oak is currently doing to support this skill development post-pandemic. If you would like to read resources provided by Dr. Harrison, click "read more".
Community service with friends! Join your Post Oak pals at the Houston Food Bank on Sat., 2/24, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. for inspecting, sorting, and repackaging of donated food items. The location is about 20 minutes from the Bissonet campus. We only have 29 spaces reserved, so please click “read more” to register using this specific link for the time you’d like. Community service is more fun with friends, so text your pals and ask them to sign up for the same slot.
If you haven’t registered for spring parent-teacher conferences (3/7–8), please visit the parent-teacher conferences page (login required*) in the Parent Portal. Registration closes on Fri., March 1.
We are noticing that more and more Primary parents/caregivers are arriving way too early before the 3:00 p.m. dismissal begins in the peace circle, causing a backup with the car line on the Avenue B side of the school. Please wait until 2:50 p.m. before entering the parking lot so that our YCC parents can pick up their children without delay. Primary parents with Elementary siblings, please wait until 3:15 p.m. before entering the parking lot to prevent the left lane from backing up. We appreciate your cooperation in helping dismissal to run more smoothly.
